Sneak Peek: Superheavy Assault Walker

Posted on 21 Nov 2009 by in Sneak Peek

With the Superheavy Assault Walker nearing completion I decided to post the following teaser. It shows all of the parts and the quantities required for each. There’s still a bit of cleanup and a second pass of priming to do but I’m hoping to build it up during my Christmas break. Stay tuned for more info!

    Hell yeah, WOW!

Very Gundam or Mecha in design!

Amazing that you made all this without the use of 3D printers, just good ‘ol scratch building techniques and a lot of effort.

I registered only to say this….

    Woot!

Thanks it was a massive undertaking but I learned such a massive amount! I’m sure you won’t be surprised that the primary inspiration came from the walking tanks in Ghost in the Shell (both the movie and Stand Along Complex).

That was what I thought when you first started building it!!!!

Great movie and a nice bit of fanboi modelling with the Walker!
