No worry about the turret feel, I'm already altering the design to make it look as if it's part of the prow itself. I just used the turret shapes as a basis to build from. The only annoying thing at the moment is that because I used the resized turrets as a basis, I'm dealing with tons of little inaccuracies since a lot of the stuff is all in the 0.0000001's of millimeters. But I'm already trying to fix it to the standard sizes of the ship's parts.

As for the space station, are you suggesting a sort of ring shaped thing? I was thinking about something a lot more akin to a mixture between the ship designs and .

Hmmm I see - perhaps it was just that perspective shot that was the problem. It certainly looks ok in this last picture ;)

I was thinking a hexagon shaped space station!

And i really like the design! i think the new prow gives it a more bad ass look

This ship is cool, especially in all it's iterations, but show me a destroyer or frigate in this races/factions style. Gimmie an escort carrier thats bloated with assault craft. I crave more, your constantly adding and tweaking this one design.... MOARRRR!

It does right? Thanks! :)

Since the plasma barrels are separate pieces I could also add other weapons to it, maybe even add different torpedo launchers on there.

from the GD UK 2013 have also inspired me to think about boarding pods again!

Looks good! Alternate load outs would be cool also ;)

I need to ponder some more on the alternate loud outs. It shouldn't be too difficult, as you can see here:

Problem with large barrels at this scale is that they'll end up becoming rather frail, which is something I really don't want to happen. The design of the ships is already quite sturdy, and I'd like to keep them that way. Perhaps we'll see a different type of torpedo launcher, or some sort of missile pods. Need to ponder a bit more about them.

Fancy removable barrels!
This does allow for more weapon types so its really cool! cant wait for the other weapons options!

Now you need to make an angeled piece that makes the whole prow come to a point that has a single hole in it, for torpedoes.

I'm still in favour of a battlestar galactica type prow...
